Yes. We delete the lost remote’s code from your receiver so it no longer works. On older receivers that can’t delete single remotes, we clear the memory and recode the remotes you still have. It’s worth doing every time a tenant moves out or a remote goes missing.
The most common cause is a flat battery, followed by a worn button or water damage. If none of your remotes work, the problem is more likely the receiver or the motor board. We test the remote and receiver separately on site, so you only pay for the part that’s actually faulty.
Usually, yes. If both motors use compatible receivers, we code each button to a different door. If they don’t match, we can fit an external receiver or upgrade one of them. We check what’s installed first and recommend the simplest setup.
Modern code-hopping remotes can’t be copied like old fixed-code ones, which is what makes them more secure. Instead, we code a new remote directly to your receiver. If you still use old fixed-code remotes, upgrading the receiver is a sensible security step.
